{"id":15104,"date":"2016-11-08T14:24:00","date_gmt":"2016-11-08T19:24:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hame.ink\/hameblog\/2016\/11\/08\/doing-normal-stuff\/"},"modified":"2025-09-12T07:50:34","modified_gmt":"2025-09-12T10:50:34","slug":"doing-normal-stuff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hame.ink\/blether\/2016\/11\/08\/doing-normal-stuff\/","title":{"rendered":"Doing Normal Stuff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today I stayed home &#8212; I guess that&#8217;s not unusual, since that&#8217;s where I&#8217;ve been for most of the last month, but at least I could choose to go out if I like, now that I have two arms that sort of work.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>I wanted to go out to a coffee shop or something like that, but it&#8217;s still disheartening to try and draw, even though I&#8217;ve managed to stretch the tendons in my hand quite a bit over the past few days and can grip things a bit more.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Instead, I decided to stay home and cook things. I made granola, waffles, and a savoury pie! It&#8217;s easy to take normal activities as a given, or to be greedy for more, but I appreciate that the things I did today (I opened <em>jars!<\/em>) were each a little breakthrough.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hame.ink\/blether\/wp-content\/uploads\/posts\/1498\/20161108152425-Xrays.jpg.webp\" alt=\"X-rays and notes\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Since I&#8217;m being transferred to PEI&#8217;s healthcare system, I&#8217;ve been given the notes about my treatment to take with me.
