{"id":15021,"date":"2018-02-14T13:43:00","date_gmt":"2018-02-14T18:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hame.ink\/hameblog\/2018\/02\/14\/stuff-i-dont-have-to-do\/"},"modified":"2025-09-12T07:50:33","modified_gmt":"2025-09-12T10:50:33","slug":"stuff-i-dont-have-to-do","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hame.ink\/blether\/2018\/02\/14\/stuff-i-dont-have-to-do\/","title":{"rendered":"Stuff I Don\u2019t Have to Do"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019m trying to figure out a new time management game to play \u2014 something to justify why I keep track of my working time, and to reward me for the progress I make.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>At a loss for any better unifying theme, I remembered Disney\u2019s old <em>Sword and the Stone<\/em> movie, which I loved as a kid \u2014 I think I had a book about it \u2014 though the movie looks pretty sketchily drawn and Sixties-loopy now. So I thought that might be one way to go, the pieces evolving through different critters up to a final challenge.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hame.ink\/blether\/wp-content\/uploads\/posts\/1614\/20180214143408-2766C96E-94DC-4071-93CD-3C687F128C58.jpeg.webp\" alt=\"game board\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hame.ink\/blether\/wp-content\/uploads\/posts\/1614\/20180214143541-97DA2D03-9029-48D3-ACF9-E33EBE40F73E.jpeg.webp\" alt=\"game pieces\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>I dunno. Like my comic book story, sometimes it\u2019s hard to get traction on things that I\u2019m doing just for myself.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>I have roughed and inked several pages for the comic, though. I\u2019m feeling <em>very<\/em> iffy about it, but I suppose that\u2019s natural when doing something completely new and different, drawing on skills that&#8230; well, that I haven\u2019t developed yet.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hame.ink\/blether\/wp-content\/uploads\/posts\/1614\/20180214143951-2F7DEEFE-D12B-40E7-8EF9-1277ED4E9C2D.jpeg.webp\" alt=\"comic book preview\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>So I\u2019m glad that Dan, the team, and I are working on a new book.
