I managed to steal a few moments to draw on this trip, but there was just so much to see and do, and so little time.
(Sorry for the bad pun.)
The gas fumes set off the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, which set off the dog.
I have overlapping deadlines for work. I generally like working from home, but I really wish I had a dog-friendly Plan B office option for times like this.
We need to get the house back in shape before our pal/dog-sitter stays here while we’re away on holiday.
It’s a lot.
I don’t want to hit Fast-Forward on my one mortal life, but… this particular episode about the basement could be over and that’d be okay.
Repairing this properly — so it doesn’t happen again — is going to cost thirty grand. So that’s fun. (Thank Poseidon our insurance will cover most of that.)
Remind me again how home ownership is a good investment?
